Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
John 3:3-4
Introduction:
Dear brothers and sisters, today we gather to explore a profound and life-changing concept, the idea of being born again. This spiritual rebirth is not just a concept; it’s a miraculous transformation that each of us can experience. Let’s delve into the Scriptures and discover the beauty of this rebirth.
I. The Necessity of Spiritual Rebirth
In John 3:3, Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” This statement by our Savior underscores the essential nature of being born again. We must undergo a spiritual transformation to truly understand and enter into God’s kingdom.
II. The Process of Being Born Again
Being born again is not a physical rebirth but a spiritual one. It involves repentance, faith, and surrender to Christ. In Acts 2:38, Peter said, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” This is the starting point of our spiritual journey.
III. The Miracle of Forgiveness
When we repent and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, a miraculous event occurs. Our sins are forgiven, and we are reconciled with God. Psalm 103:12 reminds us, “As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” This forgiveness is a gift beyond measure.
IV. A New Life in Christ
Being born again doesn’t end with forgiveness; it marks the beginning of a new life. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we read, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” We are transformed, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and given a purpose in God’s kingdom.
Conclusion:
Dear folks, the concept of being born again is not just a theological idea; it’s a reality we can experience. It’s an invitation to a new life, a fresh start, and a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father. As we reflect on this miraculous transformation, let us remember the words of Jesus in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Today’s Blessings:
May we embrace this gift of new life through faith in Christ and walk in the light of His love. And may God’s grace in mercy touch up with your family and the most beloved who yet don’t know our Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord. And I surely testify of the Living God that He will transform then, heal them and enclose them to a new life in creation of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
