“As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.
Zechariah 9:11-12
Then the LORD will be seen over you, And His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord GOD will blow the trumpet, And go with whirlwinds from the south. The LORD of hosts will defend you and LORD God will save you in that day, As the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, Lifted like a banner over His land.
For how great is its goodness And how great its beauty! Grain shall make the young men thrive, And new wine the young women.
(James 1:5) says; If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
The Bible is filled with examples of foolish men, sometimes even wicked men that ask God for forgiveness or wisdom and are granted it. It can be frustrating to feel helpless when we cannot understand something or when something is out of our control. That is just it: it is out of our control but in God’s control. Trust him, ask him, and be content knowing he will not look down on you for this.
Today’s Prayer
Everyday I feel lucky to have you in my life, Abba Father. Forgive me for being hesitant to ask for help from you due to my egoistic pride. I am so thankful that you will always love me as your child. It is in your glory that I pray these words. Amen.
