God’s Purpose in Your Place
During World War II, a young woman named Corrie ten Boom risked her life to hide Jews in her home in the Netherlands. Arrested and sent to a concentration camp, she later said, “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” Corrie discovered that even in suffering, God had positioned her for a greater purpose.
So it was with Queen Esther:
“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Esther was an orphan girl turned queen, placed in a palace not just for comfort, but for calling. When her people faced annihilation, Mordecai reminded her: she was positioned by God for that exact moment.
Many times, we wonder why God has placed us in certain jobs, families, or situations. Yet nothing is accidental. Where you are today is not random; it’s a divine appointment. Like Esther, you are called to stand, speak, and shine for God’s glory for such a time as this.
The courage to obey may feel costly, but silence costs more. God works through surrendered lives to change the destiny of nations.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for placing me where I am, not by accident but by Your divine plan. Give me courage to speak when You call, to stand when others shrink back, and to live faithfully for You in my generation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
- Recognise Your Position: Ask yourself, where has God placed me today that I can be a witness for Him?
- Take a Stand: Identify one area where fear has kept you silent, and pray for boldness to act in faith.
- Encourage Someone’s Calling: Remind a friend or family member that God has placed them where they are for a reason.
