Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might, He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31
The Unfathomable God:
Isaiah opens this passage by reminding us of the incomprehensible nature of God. The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the earth, neither grows weary nor faints. His understanding is beyond measure, and His power is limitless. In acknowledging His greatness, we find the foundation for our hope and strength.
Strength for the Weary:
The verses unfold a beautiful promise: God provides strength to the weak and increases the might of those with no power. In a world where human strength falters, God’s strength becomes the sustaining force. It’s a reassurance that our weaknesses are met with divine empowerment, allowing us to endure and overcome.
Soaring with Eagle’s Wings:
The imagery of mounting up with wings like eagles is profound. Eagles are known for their ability to soar at great heights, above challenges and storms. Similarly, those who wait on the Lord, who place their hope and trust in Him, will experience a renewal of strength. They will rise above weariness and fatigue, running without stumbling and walking without growing faint.
Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, I come before You, acknowledging Your unfathomable greatness and limitless power. Thank You for the promise that, in my weakness, You provide strength. Grant me the patience to wait on You, that I may experience the renewal of strength like eagles soaring on wings. In moments of weariness, may I find my refuge and strength in You, my everlasting God. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
