The Invitation

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Revelation 3:20

Introduction:
Our journey to understand the need for spiritual rebirth leads us to Revelation 3:20, where Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” This verse presents a powerful image of Christ’s invitation to our hearts.

The Gentle Knock:
Picture, if you will, the image of Jesus standing at the door of your heart, gently knocking. He doesn’t force His way in; He waits for us to respond. This is an invitation to a deeply personal relationship.

Hearing His Voice:
To respond to this invitation, we must first hear His voice. In the midst of the noise and distractions of life, it’s essential to recognize His call. It often comes as a whisper in the depths of our souls.

Opening the Door:
The act of opening the door is a choice. It signifies our willingness to invite Jesus into every aspect of our lives, including our brokenness and our need for spiritual rebirth.

The Promise of Communion:
When we accept His invitation, Jesus promises to come in and dine with us. This represents a beautiful communion, a fellowship that brings transformation and fulfillment.

Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, I am humbled by the image of Jesus standing at the door of my heart, knocking. Today, I open that door wide and invite Him in. May this act of surrender mark the beginning of my journey toward spiritual rebirth. Thank You for the promise of communion with You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
