The Veil of Ignorance

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

Introduction:
As we delve deeper into the concept of ignorance and spiritual blindness, let’s turn to 2 Corinthians 4:6: “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” This verse beautifully illustrates how God’s light dispels the veil of ignorance.

God’s Commanded Light:
Just as God commanded light to shine in the physical world, He also commands spiritual light to shine in our hearts. It’s a divine act that dispels the darkness of ignorance and reveals the knowledge of His glory.

The Light of Knowledge:
The knowledge of God’s glory is like a radiant light that penetrates our hearts and minds. It illuminates the truth of who God is and the depth of His love for us.

The Face of Jesus Christ:
In the face of Jesus Christ, we see the embodiment of God’s love and grace. Through Him, we gain the knowledge that leads to spiritual rebirth.

Overcoming Ignorance:
The power of God’s light is greater than the veil of ignorance. As we embrace this light, we not only recognize our need for rebirth but also experience the transformation that comes from knowing Him.

Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, we are grateful for the light of knowledge that You have shone in our hearts through the face of Jesus Christ. As we contemplate this truth, we pray that Your light may continue to dispel the veil of ignorance in our lives. Guide us on the path of spiritual rebirth, that we may fully know and experience the glory of Your love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
