Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark 8:36-37
This question is one that has rung true throughout time. Some people seem to have everything: money, fame, health, love. Without the love of God, what does it mean? Without a faith in God, they will not be granted life eternal. Those things will perish, God’s love will not. Which do you want?
For whoever is ashamed of Christ Jesus the only way, truth to life and His words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels, says our Lord.
In (Mark 8:34-35) the word who Himself is our Lord says to us that whoever desires to come after Him by giving his life to Christ, must deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Jesus Christ rather than what the world pleases to offer, pride, adultery, fornication, lie’s, anger, rumormongering and so many unfaithful deeds before our Lord.
For the Son of Man is coming very soon in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. In (Matthew 16:28) Christ says Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom. As to the prophecy Apostle John writes in (Revelations) 1:7 – Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Christ’s sake and the gospel in believing by faith for the salvation that Christ brought unto us on that rugged cross will save it by finding eternity who Himself is Christ besides Him there is no other way.
Today’s Prayer
Insightful God, inspire me to always understand the most valuable things in life. Lead me away from the temptations of the fleeting and perishable things, for these do not grant true satisfaction. The only satisfaction that I crave, Abba Father, is the satisfaction I shall get from loving You in faith. I pray this in honor of my gratitude to You. Amen.
