Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. being justified [g]freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed.
Romans 3:23-25
Introduction:
As we continue our exploration of the desperate need for spiritual rebirth, let’s anchor our understanding in the Word of God. Romans 3:23 reminds us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This verse serves as a sobering reminder of our shared condition as humans.
The Brokenness Within:
The human condition is marked by a brokenness that affects every aspect of our lives. It’s not just the outward struggles we face but the inner turmoil, doubts, and longings that often go unspoken. We all bear the weight of sin and its consequences.
The Longing for Wholeness:
Despite our brokenness, there’s a deep-seated longing within each of us for wholeness and meaning. It’s a yearning for restoration, a desire to bridge the gap between our fallen state and God’s glory.
Acknowledging Our Imperfection:
Recognizing our imperfections is not an exercise in self-condemnation but a step toward humility and surrender. It’s an acknowledgement that, on our own, we cannot attain the perfection required to stand in the presence of our holy God.
The Hope of Transformation:
In the midst of our brokenness, there is hope. This series is not about dwelling on our faults but about embracing the transformative power of God’s grace. Through the journey of being born again, we discover that our broken pieces can be beautifully mended by the hands of our Creator.
Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, we humbly come before You, acknowledging the truth of Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. We recognize our human condition, marked by brokenness and imperfection. Yet, Lord, we also grasp onto the hope of transformation that You offer through spiritual rebirth. May this understanding ignite a longing for Your grace and lead us toward the path of renewal. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
