Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Hosea 4:6
Introduction:
As we conclude our discussion on the desperate need for spiritual rebirth and the role of knowledge, let’s turn to Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” This verse underscores the importance of knowledge in our spiritual journey.
The Consequences of Ignorance:
The lack of knowledge can have significant consequences. As God’s people, in this passage, we face the consequences of destruction and rejection because of rejecting knowledge and forgotten God’s will, purpose and His law.
The Rejection of Knowledge:
We must not reject knowledge but actively seek it. Knowledge of God’s Word and His ways is essential for our spiritual growth and transformation.
The Path to Rebirth:
Knowledge is not an end in itself but a means to an end. It is through knowledge of God’s truth and grace that we recognize our need for rebirth and embrace the transformation offered through Jesus Christ.
Embracing Knowledge and Wisdom:
Let us embrace knowledge and seek wisdom from God’s Word. In doing so, we position ourselves to fully experience the miracle of being born again.
Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, we are reminded of the grave consequences of lacking knowledge in Hosea 4:6. We pray that You would grant us a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for knowledge of Your ways. May this knowledge guide us on the path to spiritual rebirth and transformation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
