Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
There is nothing in this world that doesn’t amaze me. Nothing on this earth will last forever, but we should not be worried about what happens so much on this earth. We should be thinking about how we can be with the Lord forever. The dead believers of Christ will go first, and the living will go second. We must be a part of those groups that hear the trumpet call of God. Live your life in a way that it is possible.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the people who do not know God;
For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit. But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; and indeed you do so toward all the brethrens.
But we born of Christ urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business however I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
Today’s Prayer
Dear God, who art in heaven, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Grant me the wisdom to realize my mortal impermanence, for I so long for the day that I can join You and Jesus in Heaven. I desire to feel Your love forever and reciprocate it to You, but I know that I must purge myself of my sinful ways and ask forgiveness. I ask that You help me reach these lofty goals, for with You I know it is possible, my strength and redeemer, O Lord. Amen.
