The God Who Keeps His Promises
In 1948, a small group of Christians in China prayed for Bibles. The Communist regime had banned and burned them, making God’s Word scarce. Many thought it was impossible to get Bibles into the country. But years later, in 1981, the Lord answered through the “Project Pearl” mission, one million Bibles smuggled into China in one night. What seemed impossible to man was possible with God.
This is the same truth Mary heard when the angel visited her:
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”
Luke 1:37 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Mary was a young, ordinary girl, chosen for an extraordinary purpose, to give birth to the Son of God. Her situation looked impossible: she was a virgin, yet the angel declared she would bear a child. But God’s power is not limited by human logic.
You may be facing situations that look impossible, a broken relationship, financial struggles, health challenges, or unanswered prayers. Remember this: what is beyond you is not beyond Him. The God who opened barren wombs, parted seas, raised the dead, and saved sinners is the same God working in your life today.
Faith is not denying reality; it is trusting that God’s reality is greater.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You that nothing is impossible with You. Strengthen my faith when I feel overwhelmed by the impossible. Help me to trust in Your promises and walk in obedience, believing You can do exceedingly abundantly above all I ask or think. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
- Name Your Impossible: Write down one thing in your life that feels beyond reach, and give it to God in prayer.
- Meditate on Luke 1:37: Repeat this verse throughout the day whenever doubt creeps in.
- Encourage Someone’s Faith: Share this verse with someone who needs hope today.
