God’s Delight in You
There was a young woman who struggled with her reflection. She didn’t think she was beautiful. One day, her fiancé wrote her a letter. In it, he said, “I don’t love you because of how you look. I love you because of who you are. And in my eyes, you are more precious than any jewel.” That letter changed how she saw herself not because she changed, but because love gave her new vision.
“You are all fair, my love, And there is no spot in you.” Song of Solomon 4:7 (NKJV)
Reflection:
The Song of Solomon isn’t just a love story between a man and woman it’s a beautiful picture of how God loves His people. He sees beyond your past, your scars, and your flaws. In His eyes, you are cherished, chosen, and beloved.
So often we allow the world or our mistakes to define us. But God’s love redefines everything. He calls you beautiful. He calls you His. And He pursues you with a relentless, tender love.
Tonight, rest in this truth: You are deeply loved not for what you’ve done, but for who you are in Him.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me with a perfect, unchanging love. Help me to see myself through Your eyes. Let my heart be overwhelmed not by the world’s opinion, but by Your delight in me. Teach me to live from a place of belovedness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
- Spend time tonight simply reflecting on God’s love for you without performing, without pretending.
- Write down Song of Solomon 4:7 and place it somewhere you’ll see it often.
- Remind someone in your life that they are loved by God no matter what.
