God’s Plans Are Greater
A young man once faced rejection after rejection. Every door he tried to walk through was closed. He began to wonder if his life had any purpose at all. One night, his grandmother gently placed her hand on his shoulder and said, “God is not rejecting you. He’s redirecting you. His plans are bigger than what you can see.”
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
Reflection:
This verse was spoken to a people in exile people who had lost their homes, their freedom, and perhaps even their sense of identity. And yet, God reminds them: My thoughts toward you are good. I have not forgotten you.
Maybe tonight you feel stuck in a “waiting season” or you’re walking through disappointment. Remember this: God’s silence is not His absence. His delays are not His denials. His plans are unfolding, even in the places you least expect.
Hold on to this promise: God’s plan for your life includes hope even when the path feels uncertain.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your thoughts toward me are of peace, not harm. Help me to trust in Your plans even when I can’t see the full picture. Strengthen my faith in the waiting. Anchor my heart in the hope that You are always working for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
1. Write down Jeremiah 29:11 and speak it over your life tonight.
2. Reflect on areas where you’ve struggled to trust God’s plan pray for peace.
3. Encourage someone who is feeling lost or discouraged. Be the voice of hope.
