Everyday is a day we are Journeying to meet the bridegroom

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Matthew 25:2-4

But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him! And the foolish said to the wise,Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.

That’s exactly what is going to happen to each of us during that day of judgement. John says in (Revelations 20:12) And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

Now this question goes back to you, yes each of us, are you part of the foolish living your life without oil burning and rising the incense of prayer in repentance to salvation or part of the wise who are always at watch in prayer, knowing anytime the bridegroom nocks at the door.

Christ’s warns us to watch and pray lest we fall into temptations of the evil one. Pray without ceasing cause in it is the strength the empowers our daily walk. Un prayerful person is as well as a dead person, they don’t have a reason to live but only filled with the pleasures of the world.

There many that have a lot in their lives yet upon their heads they carry the burdens of the world that have kept them without peace of mind, without peace of family and without peace in what they posses.

However in prayer and burning incense with the oil in our lamps, we simply invite Christ in our lives, who not only comes with salvation but peace that the world has never known. In Him is the salvation of all the lost.

Today’s Prayer

Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope. Hold me up, and I shall be safe, And I shall observe Your statutes continually. I have done justice and righteousness; Do not leave me to my oppressors. Give me understanding, That I may know Your testimonies. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
