But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’”
1 Peter 1:15-16
Called to Holiness:
The call to holiness is not a mere suggestion; it’s a divine imperative. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, we are reminded that the One who called us is holy, and thus, we are called to reflect His holiness in every aspect of our lives. Holiness is not a fleeting moment; it’s a continuous state of being.
A Reflection of God:
To be holy means to be set apart, consecrated for a sacred purpose. As believers, we are set apart for God’s service, and our lives should mirror His character. We are called to walk in righteousness, purity, and love, embodying the holiness of our Creator.
Forever Holy:
The title “Holy Forever” echoes the timeless nature of holiness. It’s not a temporary state but an eternal characteristic of our identity in Christ. Our holiness is not based on our merits but on the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Through His sacrifice, we are declared holy, and this status remains unchanging forever.
Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, I am in awe of Your holiness and grateful for the call to reflect it in my life. Help me to understand the depth of this calling and empower me to live holy life, pleasing and glorifying You in all that I do. Thank you for the eternal nature of my holiness through the redemptive work of Jesus Chriat my Lord. May my life be a testimony to Your holiness forever. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
