The Promise of Greater Works

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also, and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

John 14:12-14

Empowered for Greater Works:
Jesus, speaking to His disciples, makes a remarkable promise. He declares that those who believe in Him will not only do the works He did but also greater works. This profound statement unveils the incredible empowerment and impact that believers can have through personal faith in Christ.

The Power of Prayer in His Name:
Jesus connects the promise of greater works with the power of prayer. He assures His followers that whatever they ask in His name, He will do, for the glory of the Father. This underscores the transformative potential of prayer when aligned with the character and purpose of Christ.

The Glory of the Father:
The overarching theme is the glorification of the Father through the works and prayers of believers. The promise of greater works and answered prayers is not for personal gain but for the manifestation of God’s glory. Believers are invited into a partnership with Christ in carrying out His mission on earth, bringing glory to the Father.

Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, I am humbled by the promise of greater works through faith in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Teach me to align my prayers with Your will and the purpose of Christ, that Your glory may be manifested in my life and change those around me. Empower me to boldly step into the works You have prepared for me, confident that, in the name of Jesus, my prayers are heard. May my life be a testimony to Your greatness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
