God Stepped Into Our World
In 1969, when Neil Armstrong became the first man to step onto the moon, the world held its breath. One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind. Humanity had reached beyond itself into space. Yet, over 2,000 years ago, something far greater happened, not man stepping onto another world, but God stepping into ours.
The Apostle John tells us:
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Jesus is not a distant God. He did not shout salvation from heaven; He came down to live among us. The Word who spoke creation into existence became flesh to redeem it.
This means God understands you, your tears, your struggles, your temptations, because He walked this earth. He isn’t out of touch with your reality; He is Emmanuel, God with us.
When life feels overwhelming, remember: you are not alone. The Word became flesh so He could bring grace to the guilty, light to the dark, and life to the weary.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for leaving heaven’s glory to dwell among us. Thank You for being my Saviour who understands my struggles and carries my burdens. Fill my heart today with Your grace and truth. In Your name I pray, Amen.
Challenge:
- Meditate on John 1:14: Repeat this verse and let it sink deep into your heart today.
- Practice Presence: As Christ dwelt among us, be fully present with someone today who needs encouragement.
- Share the Good News: Tell one person today that Jesus is not distant; He is Emmanuel, God with us.
