God’s Glory in Our Weakness
A missionary once shared a story from a remote village. Every evening, an old woman carried a cracked clay pot to the well and filled it with water. By the time she reached home, the pot was only half full. She apologized to the villagers for using something broken. But one day, someone pointed out that along her path bloomed a line of beautiful flowers watered each day by the leaking pot.
That cracked vessel had unknowingly brought life.
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV)
Reflection:
We often feel unqualified to carry the Gospel. Our past, our limitations, our flaws they make us question if we’re worthy to serve God. But Paul reminds us that God places His treasure His Spirit, His message, His power inside fragile, imperfect people.
Why? So that the glory belongs to Him, not us.
Your cracks don’t disqualify you they reveal His grace. Just like that old pot, God can use your weakness to bring beauty into the world. It’s not about your strength, but His power at work through you.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing to use me despite my weaknesses. Let Your power shine through my brokenness. Help me carry Your light faithfully today and glorify You in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
1. Don’t hide your weaknesses let them point others to God’s grace.
2. Share your testimony this week with someone who needs encouragement.
3. Ask God to use you today, just as you are, to reflect His power and love.
