Walking in Purpose and Service

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:10

Introduction:
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are created in Christ Jesus for good works. On this passage, we explore the significance of walking in purpose and service in the reborn life. Understanding our purpose and engaging in meaningful service not only enriches our lives but also fulfills God’s divine plan.

Discovering God’s Purpose:
Each of us is uniquely created with specific talents, passions, and gifts. Discovering our purpose involves seeking God’s guidance, understanding our strengths, and discerning how we can use our abilities to serve others. Our purpose aligns with God’s divine plan for our lives.

Engaging in Meaningful Service:
Service is the natural outpouring of a heart transformed by God’s love. Engaging in meaningful service involves reaching out to others in love and compassion. It can be through volunteering, helping those in need, or simply being there for someone. Meaningful service embodies Christ’s teachings of love and selflessness.

Finding Fulfillment in Service:
Service not only benefits others but also brings fulfillment to our lives. When we serve others with a genuine heart, we experience a profound sense of purpose and joy. It aligns us with God’s kingdom values and fulfills the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus:
Jesus, our ultimate example, came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). By walking in His footsteps, we emulate His humility and love. Service becomes a reflection of our reborn identity, demonstrating God’s transformative work in us.

Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, we are grateful for the purpose You have designed for each of us, as stated in Ephesians 2:10. As we explore the importance of walking in purpose and service, we pray for clarity and wisdom. Guide me in discovering my unique roles in Your divine plan, and fill my heart with love as I engage in meaningful service. May my life be a testament to Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
