Pursuing Faith

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

Evang Ps. Kenneth Nandoha

But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Hebrews 11:6-7

The Pleasing Power of Faith:
Hebrews 11:6 starts with a powerful assertion: “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him.” Faith is the foundational element that connects us to God, and it goes beyond mere belief. To please God, we must have an unwavering trust that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.

The Faithful Response of Noah:
In verse 7, Noah becomes a powerful example of faith in action. He responded to God’s divine warning, even though he couldn’t see the impending flood. Noah’s faith was not passive; it moved him to godly fear, leading him to prepare an ark for the salvation of his household. His obedience was an act of faith that condemned the world’s unbelief and positioned him as an heir of righteousness.

Diligently Seeking God:
The passage emphasizes the diligence required in seeking God. Faith involves actively pursuing a relationship with Him, trusting not only in His existence but also in His character as a rewarder. Noah’s story teaches us that faith is more than a theoretical belief; it involves a dynamic, trusting relationship with God that prompts obedience even in the face of the unseen.

Today’s Blessings:
Heavenly Father, I come before You acknowledging the central role of faith in my relationship with You. Help me to trust in Your existence and to believe that You reward those who diligently seek You. Like Noah, grant me the courage to respond in faith, even when I cannot see the full picture. May my faith be active, leading me to obey Your divine guidance. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
