Finding Peace in God’s Seasons
In 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon and uttered the famous words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” For humanity, it was a new season, an age of exploration. But Armstrong himself later admitted that even with all the excitement, life was still filled with ordinary ups and downs, seasons of joy and struggle.
The writer of Ecclesiastes reminds us that life is full of seasons, all appointed by God:
“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Life has rhythms, birth and death, joy and sorrow, gain and loss. Some seasons we gladly embrace; others we wish we could skip. But God is sovereign over them all.
Your current season may not make sense, but it is not wasted. God weaves every thread into His greater purpose. Winter does not last forever, spring always comes. Our part is to trust Him through each turn of life’s calendar.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being the Lord of every season in my life. Teach me to trust You when I don’t understand, and to rejoice when the time is right. Help me rest in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Challenge:
- Identify Your Season: Name what season you are in, waiting, growth, pruning, or harvest.
- Release Control: Commit this season to God in prayer.
- Encourage Someone: Remind a friend tonight that their season is held in God’s hands.
